Donna Knowles - BodyTorque Personal Training

Donna is a REPS (New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals) Registered Personal Trainer. After years of interest in her own health and fitness, she decided to study at the College of Fitness, Christchurch, and became formally qualified in June 2006. Obtaining this qualification increased Donna’s passion for health and fitness, and most importantly for helping people. Thereafter, she started BodyTorque Personal Training in Kaikoura. Then came a move to Christchurch in December 2006 & BodyTorque continued to grow to the successful business that it is today. BodyTorque has a wide range of clients of all fitness levels and all ages. One thing they all have in common is their continued enjoyment of training with Donna, and success in reaching their health and fitness goals. Donna has completed many courses on Nutrition, Massage, Pilates, Reiki and Stretch, and is a qualified group exercise instructor.

Donna’s recent personal achievements include competing at the 2008 South Island Classic BodyBuilding Championships. There she won the Women’s Novice Physique Class and Best Woman Performer of the night. Also at this competition she was selected to represent New Zealand at the World BodyBuilding Championships in Greece, June 2008. She was awarded 3rd place in the Women’s Physique Class and was very proud to be a New Zealand representative athlete and a great role model to present and future clients. Donna is a parent of two children, who are both physically active and play sport. Donna continues to strength train on a weekly basis with her Personal Trainer and supports this with regular cardio training. Next big fitness goal is a half marathon!
